About Escape Room Night
Escape Room Night is a free, browser-based online escape room for solo players and teams. Open a room, share the invitation with friends and solve story mysteries together, with no account, payment or download.
What you can play
The site hosts cooperative puzzle missions that run entirely in a web browser:
- Museum After Dark — restore a museum’s systems and work out what happened to a missing astronomical dial.
- Signal Across Time — compare clues from 1926 and 2026 to bring a wireless station back to life.
- The Last Lighthouse — work together to send the rescue signal.
- The Examiner’s Cabinet — an optional expert challenge built around experimental reasoning, Boolean logic and scheduling.
Every mission can be played solo, and a shared room holds up to 10 members. Answers, notes and progress are shared live with everyone in the room. Rooms stay open for three hours from creation.
How we make it
Escape Room Night is an independent game project. We write the stories, design the puzzles and build the game ourselves, and we use optional in-game feedback to find clues that are confusing or too easy. The game is currently in a free beta, so stages, hints and difficulty guidance are still being refined.
New stories are supported by players who choose to back the project on Patreon. Support is optional: every mission on this site is free to play.
Independence
Escape Room Night is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any physical escape room venue, franchise or other game publisher. Names, places and events in our stories are fictional.
Your data
You do not need an email address or account to play. Read how we handle room progress and playtest data for details on what is stored and for how long.
